Superbe navire !!!
Great documentary. At around 27:00 they are confusing cubic meters with liters when talking about the onboard water requirements per person per day, though. The subtitles are correct, stating 1.4 million liters per day, but the narration incorrectly refers to that as 1.4 million cubic meters per day. A cubic meter of water is 1000 liters and weighs one ton.

Feels more like an advert for MSC than a documentary. Never liked the 'overdramatic' commentary on supposed documentaries.

Is there a cruise ship other than white?

All of today's technological aspects/capacity shows that we'll have some prodigious, incredible floating cities in the future😎

How is this considered "Extreme Construction" if it is only 80,000 tons? This is modest....almost puny by today's standards. Extreme would be Symphony of the Seas at 228,000 tons.
Imagine 7000 positive COVID cases and no where to dock, sailing from port to port begging. Eventually beached sideways within the Suez Canal .... finally ended up as scrap in Bangladesh and metal sold to China to make TESLA

Mega Pink Elephant.
Immense effort to ensure that passengers don't feel that they are at sea: noise, wind, waves, all suppressed. A bit ironic. And when do these ships go nuclear? Would simplify so much: virtually unlimited power, eliminating fuel storage, scrubbers, complicated water purification, diesel, etc.
Beautiful ship, sadly she and many of her kind would go for scrapyard, and be cut to pieces because COVID 19 kill the industry completely. If you keep this monster ships tied to shore for years they would still need expensive maintenance, and they dont make any money so it's cheaper to cut them then keep them abandoned at the dock. With current situation we would not go on cruises for many, many years because COVID would continue to spread and evolve, this is something that would not disapear trough the night.
Amazing...
Azipods have been around for years, no modern cruise ships use conventional propulsion :)
Engineer: perfections Mother Nature: just don’t get on my bad side.
I could only trust this country to build such a magnificent marvel of engineering. Because these are the same guys who built Airbus !

In that case you must know nothing about naval engineering and latest tech in the industry. :) Propulsion systems, new innovations, fuellcell cruise ships currently bering built in finland. Largest cruise ships (oasis class built and engineered all in finland) though the few latest assembled in france due to shipyard capacity issues.

You don't "solder" sheets of metal together, you "weld" them ! Soldering is for joining pieces of electrical wire together, for more delicate work on printed circuit boards, along with many other applications, but definitely NOT for joining heavy duty sheet-steel as per this video ! I begin to wonder what other inaccuracies I'll find within this video.
Excellent engineering but can't think of anything worse than going on a cruise with 3 thousand other people.
